The Lewisburg Police Department has made a tragic update regarding the case of missing man, Jarred Schultz. Authorities have confirmed that the body of a male, believed to be Schultz, has been discovered. The body was found in a wooded area near Interstate 64 and Route 219 in Lewisburg, West Virginia, at around 12:36 p.m.
Prior to his disappearance, Schultz was seen on August 5 around 11:40 p.m. in the Coleman Drive area of Lewisburg. He had attended the LIV Golf Tournament over the weekend and had not been seen since then. The Lewisburg Police Department, in collaboration with multiple agencies such as the WV Division of Natural Resources, WV State Police, WV Division of Corrections, Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office, and the Lewisburg Fire Department, have been actively investigating Schultz’s disappearance.
In their efforts to locate Schultz, the Lewisburg Police Department has utilized various methods, including phone pings, bloodhounds, ground searches, thermal imaging, review of surveillance footage, and drone aerial searches.
At this time, the Lewisburg Police Department has stated that there is no indication of foul play regarding Schultz’s death. However, the investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information regarding Schultz’s whereabouts prior to his discovery is urged to contact the Lewisburg Police office at 304-645-1626.
